This week marks the 5th anniversary of FoodSight!
It’s hard to believe that five years ago, what started as a simple idea in Lebanon has transformed into a vital platform dedicated to revolutionizing the agro-food industry in the MENA region. Our journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, filled with challenges and triumphs.
From the beginning, we set out with a vision: “At FoodSight, we are committed to revolutionizing the agro-food industry in the MENA region through a value-centric and human-driven approach.”
Our mission has always been to empower individuals and businesses with the knowledge, tools, and connections they need to thrive in an ever-evolving landscape. By fostering collaboration, promoting sustainability, and championing inclusivity, we aim to create lasting impact and drive positive change across the entire food ecosystem.
The process of launching FoodSight in late 2019 coincided with the Lebanese Revolution—a push for change that fueled our determination. We believed that solutions to the current problems needed to be built by us, the community. Despite the challenges presented by Lebanon’s economic crisis, the COVID-19 lockdown provided us with the opportunity to refine our platform, aligning it with the growing need for remote work and technology.
The journey has been tough, with continuous setbacks due to economic, political, and security challenges. Yet, adapting to market dynamics and the needs of our community has been our top priority.
Our accomplishments over the past five years are a testament to our perseverance:
- Established Presence: Since late 2019, we have become a resource hub for over 300 users, including 250 active professionals from around the globe.
- Successful Project Deliveries: We have completed more than 60 industry projects, adding tangible value to our clients.
- Industry Recognition: Our innovation has earned us two prestigious regional titles and over 20 regional and international recognitions, establishing us as leaders in the sector.
- Strategic Partnerships: We have secured over 10 partnerships, expanding our network to better serve our community.
- Expertise and Diversity: Our team consists of freelance experts with up to 30 years of experience across more than 10 agro-food sectors.
As we celebrate these milestones, our commitment to fostering sustainable growth and positive change remains unwavering!
Now, as we prepare for new strategies and exciting activities, we face yet another challenge with the ongoing war in Lebanon.
We question how long we can keep fighting, but our determination to preserve our culture and support the agro-food sector is stronger than ever.
We are ready to embrace regional and international expansions, bringing contributions to our beloved industry.
